Who we are
DurgaPujaPandal.com ("we", "us") is an independent website run by Riten Debnath. For anything about this policy or your data, contact us on WhatsApp at +91 70594 29668.
What we collect
- Browsing the site. There are no accounts, logins or sign-up forms. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic request data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. If we enable visitor statistics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits in aggregate without cookies.
- Your location. The "Near me" page asks your browser for your location to sort pandals by distance. This happens entirely on your device. Your location is never sent to us.
- Your route and settings. The pandals you add to a route, and whether you minimised the radio player, are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your WhatsApp name and whatever you send, such as pandal details or photos. We use this only to reply, to update listings and to credit you if you ask to be credited.
Services that receive data when you use the site
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website.
- Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Google Maps opens only when you tap Map or Directions.
- Akashvani (Prasar Bharati) streams Mahalaya Radio from its own servers when you press play. On some browsers the player library is loaded from jsDelivr.
- WhatsApp (Meta) handles any message you send us, under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent personal data, we don't run advertising trackers, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
Photos and submissions
If you send us photos or pandal details, we may publish them on the site with the credit you choose. Only send photos you took yourself or have permission to share. Ask us at any time to remove your photo or your name.
How long we keep messages
We keep WhatsApp messages only as long as we need them to update listings and credit contributors. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise a grievance. Message us on WhatsApp at +91 70594 29668 and we'll respond as soon as we can.
Puja committees and listed clubs
Club names, localities and awards come from public records such as government award lists and news reports. If you represent a club and want a listing changed or removed, contact us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
Know a puja we've missed?
Add the pandals in your para. Every listing credits the person who added it.
